HALIBUT FISHING

Halibut are the largest member of the flat fish family weighing up to 600 pounds. Halibut weighing 100 to 300 pounds are caught regularly in Prince William Sound. Ling Cod and various rock fish species are also caught while Halibut fishing. The fishing limit on Halibut and Ling Cod is two (2) per day per person. The Alaska state record Ling Cod (87 pounds) was caught in Prince William Sound with the average size being 40 to 60 pounds.

When crossing Prince William Sound you’re likely to see whales, porpoise, sea lion, sea otters, eagles, puffins and bears on the beach.
